Culinary Classes at DeGrande’s are specifically designed for persons who want to learn the basics of cooking, or experienced cooks who wants to expand on what they know.

We start the morning with a discussion about what the student would like to get from the session so we can tailor the class to help you create, improve, or expand your expertise in the kitchen.

Then we roll up our sleeves and get busy. Most classes are hands-on for the students as we make a couple of items before we break for lunch here at the cafe. We follow lunch with another session in the kitchen, and finish with a short "Did you get what you wanted from the class?" discussion. Students also take home what they created during the day.

The class session runs from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. (or a little later); it’s a quick 4-plus hours of fun and learning. (Note: Cake Decorating Class on January 24, 2009, is a 3-hour class.)

Class Fee: $60 per person (Dessert Class on January 10, 2009 is $40), $100 per couple (any two people registering together). Fee includes lunch and all utensils you’ll need for the class.

Fee is due at the time of registration. If a registered student is unable to attend a class due to illness or emergency he or she will be rescheduled in the next similar class.
